The original club was founded in 1925 for past pupils of Waterpark College and was known as Waterpark Old Boys RFC. The original ground were in Ballinaneesha and we moved to our current facilities in Ballinakill in the 1960's. We have 3 main pitches, 1 all-weather football pitch, 2 all weather 5 as side pitches, 8 dressing rooms, a fully fitted gym and large clubhouse with bar and dance area, all within 12 acre site situated less than 1.5 miles from the center of Waterford.
We became a Munster Senior Club in 1974 after winning the Munster Junior Cup and retained our Munster Senior status until 2009. As a club we reached the peak on the field in 1983 reaching the Munster Senior Cup Final, narrowly losing a superb final to Young Munster.
Today we are a Munster Junior 2 Club, with a membership of approx 600, with Mens and ladies teams at Minis, Youths and Adult levels. We have a strong emphasis on young player development reflected in the award of "Munster Youths Club of the Year" 3 times in the last 10 years. We are proud also to have produced many great players over the years, achieving Munster caps at many levels and a few who have represented Ireland. Today we are all proud of Jack O'Donoghue who is a current Munster Senior player.
As a club we strive to provide a safe and enjoyable environment in which our players can develop their rugby and life skills, and a club which is respectful and welcoming to visiting clubs and our friends in rugby.
